Hellmann and his partner create a new Swiss transport arm
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and its partner ATS-Hellmann Worldwide Logistics will transfer their air and sea freight activities in Switzerland to Hellmann through the creation of its own Swiss national company.
Hellmann will take over international air and ocean freight services previously provided by ATS-Hellmann in early 2023.
This decision will allow the company to expand its product portfolio and its presence in the Swiss market.
“ATS-Hellmann has been the operational unit for air and sea freight transport in Switzerland since 1991 and is integrated into the global Hellmann network as an independent partner,” said Hellmann.
“As of January 1, 2023, the existing business operations and employee base – still led by Managing Director Kathrin Kuske – will transfer to the new Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Switzerland.”
The company also announced that Manfred Schellhammer has been recruited as Chairman of the Board of the Swiss national company.
“Hellmann will remain in partnership with the ATS Group and will continue to use its services, including air cargo handling,” Hellmann added. “Both companies see this step as a consistent continuation of the longstanding partnership with different activities targeted in the future.”
“Through targeted investments in our local service portfolio and in cooperation with our global network, we aim to sustainably strengthen Hellmann’s market presence in Switzerland. By consolidating our business into our own network, our customers who have worked with ATS-Hellmann to date will have even more direct access to our global services,” said Jens Tarnowski, Regional Managing Director for Western Europe. , Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
