Man shot dead in Duluth Bar

Duluth, MN (KROC AM News) — There was a wild scene early Saturday in Duluth’s downtown entertainment district.
And it happened during one of the most popular weekends in town.
Police officers who were patrolling on foot around 2 a.m. during the bar’s closing time suddenly saw “people fleeing Aces stating that several people were shot in the bar.”
Officers immediately called for more assistance.
After entering the bar, the police found only one victim. And it turns out he was accidentally shot.
According to the Duluth PD, it was determined that a fight broke out between two black men and two white men. According to the police, “During the scuffle, a gun fell from the belt of one of the white males involved in the scuffle. A bystander attempted to pick up the gun when it accidentally discharged, striking the male victim in the foot .
Two of those involved in the fight were questioned and released. Last I heard, the other two were still wanted.
The incident happened during the Duluth Grandma’s Marathon weekend, when thousands of people were in town participating in the event or visiting.
