Visakhapatnam: Gangavaram Port, the deepest and most modern port in the country, has today reached a new milestone by berthing the largest displacement vessel at the port. The vessel MV MARAN FIDELITY with a displacement of 2,21,083 MT and a cargo package of 1,85,000 MT on behalf of client M/S Adani Enterprises Limited was moored safely by port staff and management. The highest displacement managed so far was 2,05,429 MT and the GPL team surpassed it effortlessly. MV MARAN FIDELITY’s call not only confirms the port’s capabilities to accommodate large vessels, but also reiterates LPG’s role in boosting trade across the Indian subcontinent.
LPG continues to attract larger vessels, cementing its position as the preferred gateway for Indian cargo. The port offers state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities with deep and versatile berths that are equipped to facilitate the rapid movement of cargo. The port provides customers with efficient cargo handling services for a variety of bulk and bulk cargo groups.
“We are incredibly proud of our team’s accomplishments and their focus on achieving new goals. Gangavaram Port has huge capacity and has the advanced infrastructure to handle parcels and large vessels. The port and its associated facilities and handling system are among the most advanced in Asia and meet the highest standards in terms of safety. We are confident that with our continued focus, growth and development, GPL will reach new heights in the field of cargo management,” Gangavaram Port Spokesperson said.
