2022 LA Fleet Week Part Three – Helicopter Arrivals

Gayle Anderson reports from the Port of Los Angeles where preparations for LA Fleet Week 2022 are underway, following its cancellation due to the pandemic.
The event is timed to coincide with Fleet Week New York for the first time ever. Additionally, LA Fleet Week 2022 is celebrated at two locations, the Battleship Iowa Museum and Pier 46 at the Port of Los Angeles.
Shuttle buses will take visitors to the Historic Ports of Call Corridor, where the public can view historic and significant waterfront sites, including:
SS Victory Lane
Los Angeles Maritime Museum
American Merchant Navy Veterans Memorial
Fishing industry memorial that recognizes the historic role of fishermen, fisheries and canneries that once dominated the area
Waterfront LA Fire Station 12
Fire Boat 2’s house
While visitors are in San Pedro, they can tour US Navy ships and see the entire historic waterfront aboard Harbor Breeze Cruises in San Pedro. Visit their site to find out more.
