Gloucester Tall Ships Festival returning to Gloucester Docks this summer

The Gloucester Tall Ships festival returns to the Docks during the Platinum Jubilee weekend, June 3-5. Expect nautical chatter, salty language, entertainment, eerie sea shanties and anything resembling a ship.
The festival has an impressive lineage. It was the Tall Ships festival that initially inspired Hollywood producers to choose Gloucester Docks as the filming location for the 2016 blockbuster Alice Through the Looking Glass.
There will be plenty of opportunities over the three days of the event to experience life on board and switch to seafaring or pirate mode. But be sure to book to avoid disappointment.

There’s more than tall ships to keep families entertained. There will be sand sculptors, more sea figures than you can throw a cutlass at, flying skateboarders doing daredevil stunts on the water, a vintage funfair and musicians filling every nook and cranny of the Docks.
Tall ships come from as far away as Poland and Sweden. Among those expected are: La Maloiune, TS Grayhound, TS Anny of Charlestown, TS Irene and TS Vilma.
TS Irene is no stranger to stardom, having appeared in Johnny Depp’s blockbuster ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Book your tickets here.
