A new online air cargo booking portal has been launched as the digital transformation of air cargo gains momentum.
The CargoBooking.aero portal connects GSAs and airlines to their freight forwarding customers through the use of application programming interface (API) connections.
The portal, powered by Awery Aviation Software, uses real-time flight and fare information to provide search, quote, compare and booking solutions through a customer portal, email or API.
Options include instant booking request, spot rate request, or saving the price as an option on the quote.
The reservation request can be completed on the stock of air waybills integrated with the airline, and the requests are validated and confirmed by the airline or GSA.
“In the event of a lack of space, an alternative flight is offered to the customer for review,” the company said.
The system also includes an integrated tracking and tracing function as well as truck routing options.
Tristan Koch, new Commercial Director of Awery, said: âThe digital transformation of the air cargo industry is gaining momentum, improving efficiency and profitability throughout the supply chain.
“Our in-house team has worked together for over 12 years to develop aviation software solutions to support the digitization of the industry, and with CargoBooking, we deliver a streamlined user experience bridging capacity and demand.”
Awery CEO Vitaly Smilianets added, âCargoBooking brings together a broad group of skilled and experienced professionals to deliver a product that leads the way in helping the air cargo industry adopt and benefit from its digital transformation.
