DGAC grants aerodrome license to Sindhudurg airport

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has granted an aerodrome license to Sindhudurg Airport in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, paving the way for commercial flight operations from the facility.
The first green airport at Chipi in the Sindhudurg district was built with an investment of ??800 crores. On September 7, Union Minister Narayan Rane said Chipi Airport in Sindhudurg District in Maharashtra would be inaugurated by Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on October 9.
Earlier, the Shiv Sena, which runs the state in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party and Congress, announced a similar program from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
