Delivery fee for food application to SF capped at 15% at all times
San Francisco restaurants celebrated a major victory over third-party delivery company fees on Tuesday.
The city’s supervisory board voted unanimously to approve a resolution that permanently caps commissions on food delivery fees charged by companies like DoorDash and Grubhub at 15% per order. The legislation only covers delivery costs – a provision that has already been in place since April 2020 – but does not cover other costs like marketing costs.
