Gretel Going, founder of personalized jewelry retailer Fortune & Frame, will discuss how she uses social media to develop a client base, build a positive reputation for her brand and connect with customers. So far, organic social media tactics have worked the best for the retailer. Fortune & Frame’s influencer marketing program is unique in that all of the influencers he works with are either earned influence relationships where influencers talk about his brand in a natural and organic way because they like, be real customers. The brand believes this approach results in more authentic content that increases engagement. Fortune & Frame’s signature lockets have drawn fans like Whoopi Goldberg, Kate Hudson and Solange Knowles.

- Supply chain issues: The blockage of the Suez Canal has exacerbated an already stressed supply chain. In addition, shipping container shortages are another serious issue.
- Forecast: Continued lockdowns and the uncertain timing of stimulus checks make demand difficult to predict.
- Tensioned carriers: FedEx and UPS are still operating at full capacity, making it difficult to improve shipping times. What was shipped in about 2.5 days now ships in five days.
- Warehouse staffing: Panelists cite the shortage of warehouse workers as another problem.
