Bedeschi wins contract in Ghana

Recently Bedeschi won a major new contract in Ghana. The scope of work includes the design, procurement, manufacture, supply, construction, installation supervision, testing and commissioning, and training of personnel for cargo handling equipment in the port of Takoradi, Ghana.
The scope of the project is the provision of handling equipment and services for export bauxite and manganese and import clinker.
Bedeschi will provide n. 5 conveyor belts for a total length of front. 3 km; two loaders One type of frame mod. 50/1400 and an eco-hopper. The two loaders and the eco-hopper will be delivered fully assembled from its shipyard directly to the customer’s jetty with a dedicated heavy transport vessel.
The project is at the forefront of environmental standards (dust and dust collection system specially designed for this application). All conveyors are closed, including the section where the tippers and eco-hoppers are in operation.
Bedeschi will also supply the computerized control system.
All machines, managed by VFD, should be upgraded to increase handling capacity by 25%.
